Alfa Romeo Reveals Cuorerosso Concept Vision for Future

The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept car made its worldwide debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, unveiling the brand’s vision for the future and a new expression of its identity. This spectacular concept is described by Media Stellantis as an “authentic manifesto” destined to inspire future models, marking a new chapter in how Alfa Romeo interprets style, function, and technology in the era of electrification.

Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso: A Vision for the Future

The Cuorerosso is neither an anticipation of a production model nor merely a stylistic exercise. Instead, it serves as a starting point for Alfa Romeo’s approach to the new era of electrification, reinterpreting the brand’s hallmarks: beauty, sportiness, the Italian spirit, emotion, and driving pleasure. The brand asserts that electrification is intended not only to perpetuate love for the automobile but to amplify it through a new interpretation of performance, design, and engagement.

According to Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo and Maserati CEO, “Alfa Romeo has always created cars that are capable not only of moving people, but of arousing something within them.” He added that the Cuorerosso carries this identity into a future open to different energy solutions, where technology, function, and quality serve emotions and driving pleasure.

The “Bellezza Necessaria” Design Philosophy

A core principle guiding the Cuorerosso’s design is “Bellezza Necessaria,” meaning “Necessary Beauty,” a term coined by Alfa Romeo. This design philosophy eliminates the superfluous, reducing components to essentials, with each having a precise function. This approach is enhanced by high-level materials, workmanship, and finishes.

Drawing on the great Italian sculptural tradition, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile began the Cuorerosso project by treating it as a single solid block to be sculpted. Designers spent minimal time on initial sketches, moving swiftly to three-dimensional modelling to focus on theme, proportions, and volumes, progressively removing unnecessary elements until the final form emerged. This design process aims to give shape to the brand’s vision as a Premium Sports Brand within Stellantis.

Emotion and Italian Spirit at its Core

The name Cuorerosso itself encapsulates its essence, combining “Heart” (Cuore) as a universal symbol of emotions, with “Red” (Rosso) as a synonym for sportiness. These two identifying elements are intended to beat in unison, setting out the brand’s future direction.

The concept car draws deep inspiration from Italy, celebrated for its sartorial mastery, rich design tradition, and aesthetic taste. Sportiness, defined as a tension towards dynamism and driving pleasure, is another key influence, alongside the colour red, a historical symbol of performance and passion for Alfa Romeo. These three dimensions are intertwined in the Cuorerosso through its shapes, proportions, materials, colours, and design solutions, aiming to create a distinctly Italian and 100% Alfa Romeo masterpiece for fans globally. The vision is set to find expression in key market segments through flexible, multi-energy architectures, with models up to 4.7 meters long and the potential for Quadrifoglio versions.

While the full text from Car Magazine was unavailable, its headline describes the Cuorerosso as “gorgeous.”
