Citroën is set to unveil an “emotionally charged concept car” inspired by the iconic 2 CV at the Paris Motor Show 2026. The revelation will be a highlight of the event, which runs from October 12 to 18 at Porte de Versailles, Hall 4, according to Media Stellantis.
Iconic Spirit Reimagined
The new concept car aims to make a significant mark on the motor show, drawing directly from the spirit of the original 2 CV. Details about the vehicle itself are limited, but the brand promises an experience rooted in the cherished design of its predecessor. Belgian comic book artist Jean Luc Delvaux, a known enthusiast of the 2 CV, has been involved in the development of one of the concept car’s features. Delvaux is scheduled to be at the Citroën booth for a book-signing session on Thursday, October 15, at 4:00 pm.
An Immersive Citroën Experience at Paris Motor Show 2026
Citroën’s presence at the Paris Motor Show 2026 will extend beyond the concept car unveiling, offering visitors a comprehensive brand experience across its 930 m² booth. The company aims to create a lively, welcoming, and accessible space throughout the week-long event.
A dedicated 200 m² mezzanine area, furnished by partner Fermob with its Sixties and Rivage collections, will provide a space for visitors to relax and engage. This area will host various talks and features a ‘Bistrot Citroën’ where resident chefs will conduct culinary sessions. These sessions, hosted by Vincent Ferniot, will focus on classic French cuisine, including croque-monsieur, pâté en croûte, jambon-beurre, and œuf mimosa. The Bistrot will also offer daily fresh croissants at 9:45 am, a culinary demonstration at 12:00 pm, and a gourmet break at 4:00 pm.
Music will also play a key role, with a dedicated Spotify area on the mezzanine offering a unique digital experience. Visitors can enjoy a music quiz to discover a Citroën model suited to them, alongside a personalised road trip playlist. Four DJ nights featuring live sets are planned to punctuate the week, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.
Further activities include opportunities to meet Motorsport drivers and managers, as well as small group talks with Citroën designers, drivers, and experts. A 25 m² boutique will showcase new merchandise ranges, and a collector’s album featuring iconic models will be available, with stickers obtainable at the booth or Citroën dealerships, according to Media Stellantis.
